Welfare Benefits Specialist Support Service

CPAG provides a specialist support service in welfare benefits to eligible organisations. The service gives access to CPAG's renowned expertise and information resources in the field of welfare rights. This new service is provided under a contract with the Legal Services Commission (LSC) and runs for three years from 1 April 2008.

Eligible Organisations
The service can be used by any organisation in England* with:

  • a LSC Unified Contract; or
  • a Specialist Quality Mark (in any area of law); or
  • a General Help Quality Mark (in any area of law).

Anyone working for an eligible organisation (whether paid or as a volunteer) can use the service.

How to access the service
Call the dedicated telephone helpline for advice and information about welfare benefits or tax credits. Eligible advisers can also email the service at advice@ssp.cpag.org.uk.

Please have your LSC contract number or Quality Mark reference to hand when you call. CPAG welcomes and accepts calls via Type Talk.

* Eligible organisations in Wales can contact LASA's Specialist Support Service on 0845 271 3230.
