30.10.09

The Child Poverty Action Group has appointed Imran Hussain as their new Head of Policy, Rights and Advocacy and Derek Richards as Head of Business Programmes. These two new posts have been designed to allow CPAG to focus on the core aim of eradicating child poverty, while continuing to provide good quality advice and information to front-line specialist advisors.

Imran is currently Head of Policy and Communications with the Prison Reform Trust and has previously worked for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the Refugee Council.

Derek currently works as Head of Box Office at the Royal Opera House and has previously worked for the Greater London Authority and the Tate.

Kate Green Chief Executive of the Child Poverty Action Group said

“I am delighted we have been able to appoint two high calibre candidates to our organisation. I feel confident they are the right people to take the Child Poverty Action Group through the changing economic and political environment.”
